And given the ending of Winter Soldier it just made it seem a little disappointing doesn't it?
Now this isn't me saying this version is going to be the all time great version of Age of Ultron because I'm pretty sure someone created better ones somewhere on the internet but this is just me showcasing how Age of Ultron could be improved by fixing a few little quirks that made the movie disappointing.
Before I start things off I just want to point out a few things: Coulson is dead as dillinger. Agents of Shield never happened. And the less we remember of the ABC Marvel shows the better. There will also be NO CIVIL WAR. Cause at this point The Avengers have evolved to where they don't need to constantly fight eachother whenever they're in the same room. They have became a family, a semi-dysfunctional family but still a family.
I also want to start things off by getting rid of the really bad decisions that made AOU disappoiting. I'll start with three things: SHIELD. After the events of Winter Soldier to really sell that the organization has been disbanded the members of SHIELD are either in hiding or got other jobs. Like Agent Hill working for Stark. Because of this they're no longer The Avengers go to organization which opens the possibility of The Avengers becoming a more independent N.G.O group. The Mind Gem. Putting the Mind Gem on Vision ? No...Just No. And finally Hydra. They had an opportunity to make Hydra a force to be reckoned with. The Anti-Shield to be precise. Yet they contradicted it by having them be easily defeated in the prologue of the movie. I'm going to make Hyra the bases where they ended up becoming the primary antagonist of The Avengers.
Act 1
We open the same way the movie opened up. The Avengers on the hunt for Hydra but here is a catch that would make things a little personal. Hydra has now stolen Tony's tech. Remember that massive explosion which caused Tony to have all of his armor destroyed? Basically Hydra has been observing the whole incident and they have managed to scavenge the armor that was exploded.
Several Hydra Agents dressed in Iron Man armor are attacking a European city. Trying to take out civilians while flying in the air, destroying buildings, you know usual villain stuff. Then the Avengers proceed to try and save as many as they can while also fighting the armored Hydra Agents.
Baron Von Strucker watches this on the monitors silently and is impressed at how his armored agents managed to fair pretty well against the Avengers. The only difference makers are Thor and Hulk. As hard as the armored agents are they are unable to slow them down. Despite the odds gradually getting into The Avengers favor Strucker continues to remain calm and collected.
We see Iron Man fight an armored Hydra Agent who has been matching him toe to toe and trading insults at Tony Stark, mocking over how his own creations are once again harming innocents. Which is a shout out and continuity nod to the first movie on how it was Tony's own weapons that a terrorist group used was what inspired Tony to become the techno pacifist he has become. However in this movie this is when we'd see a more dangerous side of Tony Stark.
As the fight draws Tony isn't looking at trying to apprehend the guy but he's looking at wanting to kill him. Sparing him was completely out of the question. A quick flash of the events of the Avengers movie and IM3 showcases as Tony slams this agent to the ground and he just starts raining punches on the guy. The tipping point that Tony is jumping off the slippery slope is when Tony stops joking around. In fact during the final climax Tony was just straight up fighting the guy
At the Hydra Base we see Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch watch along with Strucker. We see Wanda's reactions to this and all she does is just look at Tony Stark with seething hatred while Pietro is there to comfort her. We cut to Strucker, still expressionless but there is a hint of glee in his eyes.
Tony proceeds to rip the agent's armor apart and the agent lies on the ground messed up as hell, looking scared as shit. He begs Tony to spare him. Tony responds"I think I'll take a raincheck on that" he is about to blast him to death but he ends up being restrained by Thor then Captain America tries to calm Tony down.. The Avengers before this was finishing up on their battles and the minute their fight is won they managed to see the closing part of Tony's fight.
Tony, would try to ease the whole situation by saying a joke or two but the gang isn't buying it one bit. Tony convinces the gang that he has calmed down. Thor lets go. But the expression on his face reads whatever he's dealing with isn't over. They round up the armored Hydra Agents then they leave the city.
We also see various media footage of the battle and while the Avengers have managed to save some civilians it is also estimated that some civilians have died and got injured during the attacks. With the media being the media they try to spin it by saying if The Avengers are to blame. Some reporters would go on record to say that things were never this bad before The Avengers came into existence. The public opinion regarding The Avengers has been divided.
One final footage is of Baron Von Strucker who watches the media coverage and smiles. To him it wasn't about wins but about ruining the image of The Avengers. He'd then talk with the Twins about conducting another phase into the plan that concerns destroying The Avengers. The creation of Ultron. Based on the designs that he had stolen from Tony Stark.
Note: Ultron was a creation that Tony had always wanted to do during his weapon designer days but ever since he became Iron Man he had cast away the idea as he deemed it too dangerous and it doesn't clash well with his newfound morality. Cause what makes Ultron scary? Its because he represents the idea of this Big Brother, watching every move we make and one mistake could cost us, mindset; his one basic drive is to oversee and protect society by any means.
